Validation will allow handset manufacturers, network operators and test laboratories to perform conformance, performance and debugging testing
Centro de Tecnolog¡a de las Comunicaciones (Cetecom), in Spain, announces that Mint (mobile communications integrated tester) has been validated for GSM RF testing following the GCF certification criteria.
GCF (Global Certification Forum) is the world leading forum for 2G/3G testing certification.
The scope of the validation covers, at the moment, chapters 12 and 13 for GSM 900/1800 according to the standard 3GPP TS 51.010-1.
This validation will allow handset manufacturers, network operators and test laboratories to perform conformance, performance and debugging testing with a powerful and reliable test system.
The Mint RF Tester is a dual mode test system for 2G/2.5G/3G products that automatically performs the conformance RF test specifications for GSM 850/900/1800/1900, GPRS and WCDMA FDD. Mint also supports protocol conformance test cases for WCDMA according to 3GPP TS 34.123-3.
Juan Carlos Mora, product manager at Cetecom Spain said "We are excited with this recognition because we have been able to meet our ambitious development plans and the initial validation has been one of the most important milestones.
"We are now ready to offer to the industry the most powerful, efficient and time-effective test tool for GSM, GPRS and UMTS devices.
"Mint is really easy to use, and this is something that test engineers will appreciate".
