ClinPhone - the clinical trial management organisation - retains its reputation as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the country according to the latest Deloitte and Touche Technology Fast 50 report.
For ClinPhone - ranked 11th in the Midlands region with 180% growth - it was the fourth time in a row it has made the prestigious Fast 50 list.
The programme tracks the growth rates of technology companies operating in the telecommunications, hardware, software and biotechnology markets across seven regions in the UK and Ireland.
It is co-sponsored by Techmark, the London Stock Exchange market for technology companies.
Eligibility is based on percentage turnover growth over the previous three-year period.
ClinPhone's performance follows a strong showing in 2001, when it was ranked 23rd with a growth rate of 117%.
It was also ranked third in 1999 and seventh in 2000.
Since then it has continued to develop its business and its marketplace.
It has expanded its operation in Nottingham with new facilities and more staff and achieved significant growth in its operations in the United States.
Staff levels at all of the company's global offices have also increased due to greater demand.
In the first half of the current financial year, the workforce grew to more than 320 in total.
Around 80 operational and commercial staff now work in the United States, double the 2001 amount.
The ClinPhone group is now the largest and most experienced industry specialist in global e-clinical trial management, having supported more than 720 clinical trials in over 80 countries and almost 70 languages.
It designs, develops and manages telephone and internet-based IT applications that dramatically reduce costs and improve the efficiency of conducting clinical trials.
