Clinical technology organisation ranked 47th in Sunday Times list of Britain's top 100 companies for employees
Nottingham-based clinical technology organisation ClinPhone is one of Britain's top 50 companies to work for, according to the Sunday Times 2003 Best Companies To Work For list.
This prestigious commendation, now in its third year, highlights that ClinPhone is the place to work if you're looking for a job in Nottingham.
ClinPhone group - now the largest and most experienced specialist in global e-clinical trial management - was ranked 47th in the list of Britain's top 100 companies for employees.
It was ranked number one in Nottingham and number four in the Midlands.
Organiser Best Companies took specialist advice from leading thinkers in the field of workplace quality to develop a robust measurement for identifying the best employers in the UK.
ClinPhone impressed judges in a number of key areas.
A staff survey highlighted employee opinion and a company questionnaire quizzed executives on what they believed was important about their employee philosophy.
Finally, experts from the judging panel made on-site visits asking questions and observing how the company worked.
ClinPhone human resource director Helen Haynes was delighted with the company's latest success - this employee-centric award is the first in ClinPhone's huge haul of awards which recognises the company's staff relations programme rather than its innovative technology or expanding market share.
"It might sound like a clich‚, but working at ClinPhone has always been a great pleasure," she explained.
"When I joined, the major brief I was given was to avoid unnecessary paperwork and always try to say 'yes' to employees.
Saying 'no' is often the easiest option, but the culture here is to always work as hard as is required to keep our staff happy and say 'yes' wherever we possibly can." "Everyone has an equal voice and the friendly hands-on approach by our managing directors has always helped.
The company is much bigger than it was five years ago but our staff - now numbering hundreds rather than dozens - still feel that they can go and talk to a managing director on a level playing field and at any time.
"That has been immensely important in building the business and we are extremely proud of our culture of putting the happiness of employees on an equal footing with financial performance.
We have built this business on the premise that the two are inextricably linked." ClinPhone employs more than 330 people worldwide and in addition to its New Jersey facility, has offices in Chicago and San Francisco in the United States, and European offices in Brussels and Heidelberg, supporting its global headquarters in Nottingham.
