Delp and Associates has expanded its presence on the internet with the launch of a new interactive website.
The new website will allow viewers to learn more about the company, the unique products offered and the services available.
Interested parties can also watch a two-minute video demonstration of the assembly and installation of a D and A Mag-Drive sealed-vessel mixer. Future plans for the site include the use of on-line video conferencing to allow a demonstration directed by the interested individual.
Until this feature is integrated into the D and A website, the company plans to use Microsoft NetMeeting and similar applications to offer this opportunity to view equipment. Explaining the reason for the timing of the website upgrade, Lisa Delp, chief executive officer, says: "the interest in the mixer has been incredible and, thanks to an April 2002 article that appeared on the website Laboratorytalk.com, we have received inquiries from a worldwide audience." Mrs Delp went on to say that, "as much as we would like to travel to India, the United Kingdom and other countries, it is not a viable option at this time to provide onsite demonstrations to such distant locals.
So, we elected to do what we do best and find a simple elegant solution to the challenge.
By taking advantage of existing communication technology we are able to overcome the distances involved and provide access to our service and equipment information in an practical way." Recent appearances at the American Chemical Society shows in Orlando, Florida and Boston, also pointed out the increased use of the internet in making laboratory equipment decisions.
Many of the attendees at these shows were recent graduates and much more technology savvy than their predecessors.
These young scientists want new techniques and innovative equipment to facilitate their research and they will be using the internet to gather their tools.
The new website from Delp and Associates will insure that the company is positioned to assist the search.
