True dynamic mechanical data from an instrument for R and D and quality assurance applications when viscosity data just isn't sufficient
Fluid Dynamics has announced the release of its first dynamic rheometer designed for quality control and R and D applications, the T2SRO.
According to Rhyta Rounds, director of technology: "The T2SRO is the first affordable rheometer priced under US$20,000 that provides true dynamic mechanical data.
It is an ideal instrument for many R and D and quality assurance applications when viscosity data just isn't sufficient." The T2SRO is described as a versatile, portable, and robust instrument designed to study the properties of reactive polymer systems, such as epoxy resins, rubbers, cements, adhesives, powder coatings and gels.
In addition, the T2SRO provides valuable QC rheology data for manufacturers of viscous pastes, creams, lotions, and foodstuffs.
The T2SRO comes complete with easy-to-use software, and has no special power or air requirements.
Disposable probes are ideal for following curing reasons and a selection of environmental control options allows the T2SRO to simulate a variety of process conditions. Fluid Dynamics acquired the exclusive rights to the rheometer by agreement with Rheometric Scientific prior to the sale of its rheometer division to TA Instruments.
The T2SRO rheometer has recently been submitted for compliance and product safety testing and will be released with the CE Certificate of Conformity.
