Molecular biology will benefit from new evaporation products with applications including HPLC fraction evaporation, DNA and PCR sample recovery
At the inaugural International Biotech meeting at ExCel, London, (19-20 November) Genevac will present its latest centrifugal evaporation products for molecular biology applications including HPLC fraction evaporation, DNA and PCR sample recovery.
Genevac will demonstrate and discuss the solvent removal applications soluble by the recently introduced EZ-2 personal evaporator system and the new model HT-4X centrifugal evaporator. Incorporating the latest centrifugal evaporation technology in a compact and easy-to-use benchtop model, the EZ-2 is priced to be affordable by almost any laboratory.
Intuitive controls and large LCD display provide ease of use comparable to a typical rotary evaporator yet the EZ-2 can process many more samples per unit time.
Using proprietary smart evaporator software the EZ-2 provides true walk-away automation so simple and sample safe that anyone can use it with confidence.
A new operating mode also allows the EZ-2 to be used as a low speed centrifuge.
The model HT-4X is Genevac's latest high throughput system for molecular biology laboratories.
Key benefits of the new system include improved speed of evaporation, shorter condenser defrost time, more powerful software (including auto-stop when dry and remote control functions) and the flexibility to accommodate a wide range of sample formats.
The HT-4X retains all the popular aspects of the HT-4 series such as SampleGuard and Dri-Pure to protect samples from overheating and bumping and the high-G direct rotor drive.
Genevac is on stand E102 at International Biotech.
