Infra red pyrometer technology reads the sample temperature as samples rotate in the evaporation chamber, providing feedback to ensure smooth evaporation
Available from Genevac, SampleShield is a new non-contact sample protection system that ensures smooth evaporation and fast drying times without overheating of samples.
No longer do scientists need to risk contamination to samples through the use of traditional immersion thermocouple probes to detect sample temperature, says Genevac.
SampleShield uses non-contact IR pyrometer technology to read the sample temperature as the sample holders rotate within the evaporation chamber.
By accurately measuring this temperature, Genevac centrifugal evaporation systems can control the evaporation process to ensure smooth evaporation and fast drying times without overheating samples. The actual sample holder temperature is fed back to the software to control the heat supplied for smooth evaporation.
SampleShield is now available on a range of Genevac systems including the EZ-2 personal solvent evaporator, the high throughput HT-12 evaporator, and also the HT-24 ultra high throughput evaporation station.
Genevac says that years of experience in solvent evaporation and sample purification have allowed it to produce a range of high-efficiency solvent evaporation systems that deliver high performance, ease of use, high reliability, and compatibility with most commonly used solvents and acids.
