Grieve Corporation has been named exclusive North American distributor for the German-made MMM (Muchener Medizin Mechanik) line of laboratory ovens, incubators, and sterilisers
The MMM equipment will be marketed through the existing network of manufacturers' representatives currently handling Grieve ovens, furnaces and heat processing systems in North America. Included in the offering is the Vacucell line of vacuum ovens, used for drying in a vacuum atmosphere.
Such units are used throughout the laboratory/R&D market for processing temperature-sensitive, easily decomposed or oxidation-prone materials such as granular or powdered substances, as well as parts with hollows or threads.
Vacucell ovens are ideal for sample drying to determine constant mass, in applications such as plastics, pharmaceutical/drug discovery, chemical, electrical or other testings.
Three standard ovens are available with workspace capacities of 22, 55 or 111 litres.
The operating temperature range on these units is 5-200.
All feature Type 304 stainless steel interior, pressure-resistant inner oven chamber, inert gas connection, needle valve for fine dosing, safety valve-protected door vent, integrated duct for sensors and a door window.
The microprocessor-based oven control unit includes an RS232 interface for communication to a printer or PC, a door lock, alarm bell and 100-hour timer, separate PT-100 sensor and temperature indicator, chemical-resistant vacuum pump, separator and emission condenser, plus a vacuum controller as standard equipment.
An optional multi-function control unit is available with a chip card system to store individual programs.
