Kevin McCormack joins Guava with extensive commercial experience with in the fields of drug discovery and life science research
Guava Technologies, specialist in cell based research tools, has announced that Kevin McCormack has joined the company as director of European operations.
McCormack was most recently director of marketing for Japan and International at Amersham Biosciences in the United Kingdom.
"Kevin brings to Guava Technologies, and more specifically to our European operation, a level of experience, enthusiasm and knowledge of the life sciences research market that will be critical in helping our company expand and dominate the market for cell-based research tools," said Paul Kinnon, vice president of sales and marketing for Guava Technologies.
"Guava's novel and accessible micro-volume benchtop technology makes the company very well suited to benefit from the rapid growth of the cell analysis market," said McCormack.
"Guava's technology has the ability to improve the productivity of the cell biologist throughout the fields of drug discovery and life science research.

McCormack joins Guava with extensive commercial experience with in the fields of drug discovery and life science research.
He first joined Amersham in 1993, where he held a number of senior positions, including several commercial roles with responsibilities for the United States, Europe, Japan/Asia and international markets.
In 1998, he was appointed as chief executive officer of Imaging Research Canada.
More recently, as the director of marketing for Japan and International, McCormack successfully established Amersham's key technologies in HTS (high throughput screening) and cell-based screening and was instrumental in significantly increasing revenue for these platforms.
Additionally, he established a joint venture in Europe and managed senior relationships with key biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
