The only solid state blue-laser, micro-volume cell analysis system capable of screening single cells for GFP expression in an automated 96-well plate format at the benchtop
A new technical brochure is available from Guava Technologies describing the Guava EasyCyte - a unique cell analysis platform that features a suite of optimised assays that can count, profile or screen cells quickly and simply.
The EasyCyte is said to be the only solid state blue-laser, micro-volume cell analysis system capable of screening single cells for GFP expression in an automated 96-well plate format at the research benchtop.
Guava says it has streamlined fluoresecent cell-based assays and made them simpler by integrating instrument, software and reagents into a turnkey solution.
The EasyCyte is compact, hands-on and easy-to-use with less than a day's training.
It runs each of Guava's turnkey assays, enabling easy, fast measurements of GFP expression and viability, cell counting/viability, apoptosis, cell cycle analysis, antigen detection, cell phenotyping and more.
Guava says the Easycyte platform delivers accurate and reproducible results by combining fluorescence-based techniques and high quality optical elements to maximise sensitivity, with automated software routines to reduce operator-induced variability.
Benefiting from a patented self-aligning, user-replaceable microcapillary flow cell - assays on the Guava Easycyte need fewer cells (<20ul) and less reagents.
Unlike traditional flow cytometry systems the Guava Easycyte generates minimal waste (<50ml in eight hours), saving precious time and reducing running costs.
For cell biologists involved with target validation, lead optimisation, process development, toxicology or clinical trials the Guava EasyCyte represents a powerful and affordable tool for measurement and tracking of biological changes at the cellular level in a format that increases assay sensitivity.
