Integra Biosciences, a manufacturer of systems for biotechnology, microbiology and cell culture apparatus, has announced the acquistion of Tecuria Engineering
Established in 1988, Tecuria is an ISO 9000 certified engineering company that has built a strong international reputation for its electrical, mechanical, and software research and development capabilities in project based development of automation, laboratory equipment, and life science technologies products for leading instrument companies.
"For over 30 years Integra Biosciences has been developing, manufacturing, and supplying a wide range of laboratory systems and materials to biological laboratories in industry, research and the universities around the world" commented Josef Macaluso, VP of marketing. "The acquistion of Tecuria provides us with an experienced team of engineers and designers that will enable significant development of our R and D function, bringing more high quality innovative products to market faster'" Tecuria, which will become the Integra Biosciences centre of excellence for instrument development, will also continue to offer its expertise in new product development and manufacturing to third parties.
