Integra Biosciences has announced strong development of UK sales following its transfer of direct sales activity to Scientific Laboratory Supplies (SLS) in February 2003.
Integra Biosciences's main reason for choosing to distribute through SLS in the UK was so it could concentrate its efforts on the research and development of new products.
The fruits of the labour are already coming to market, with the launch of two new products, the Pipetboy Comfort and the Vacusafe Comfort.
With the Pipetboy Comfort, Integra has taken one of its flagship products, the Pipetboy Acu, and improved it.
The Vacusafe Comfort also represents an additional to an established range, designed for the customer with basic aspiration needs, and comes with the price tag to match.
Reflecting on the interim results, Elmar Morscher, CEO of Integra Biosciences, commented "The willingness of both parties to quickly address any issue that has arisen, has been a breath of fresh air.
"The open policy and the strength of the relationship right from the start, has contributed to keeping our UK customers - happy and informed".
Mark Shelton, SLS sales and marketing director, added: "Having been involved with other transfers of business, of this size and proportion over the years, I have to say that the Integra transfer has been both smooth and to date very successful".
Further new products, including the Celline Adhere, a disposable flask-bioreactor for long-term, high level protein expression from adherent cells will be on display from SLS/Integra Biosciences at International Biotech 2003 (stand B500) at Olympia, London, later this month (November 2003).
