Chemicals used in X-ray production require specialist disposal, and with recent legislation imposing severe penalties for pollution, this is a job to leave to the experts
Clinical and medical waste disposal specialist Initial Medical Services has expanded its range of services.
The latest addition is aimed at everyone who uses X-rays.
Initial's managing director, Rosemary Duckworth explains: "Medical and veterinary organisations rely on X-rays as one of the most important methods of diagnosis.
"Industry uses them in a variety of applications.
"The developers and fixers used in X-ray production require specialist disposal.
"These chemicals can be highly toxic and need to be disposed of at specialist facilities and under controlled conditions.
"With legislation in place controlling every aspect of the carriage and disposal of all wastes and unlimited fines and even imprisonment in serious cases, for anyone found guilty of polluting land or waterways, companies cannot afford to be complacent over their obligations.

"We take care of the collection and disposal of X-ray waste ensuring we meet all of the legal obligations on your behalf and leaving you to get on with your business.
