Kits for determination of activity values of enzyme preparations may also be used in enzyme purification work, to rapidly locate activity in column fractions
A new range of products called ColorKit has been launched by Innova Biosciences to facilitate the measurement of the activity of phosphatases, ATPases and other Pi-generating enzymes in microplates.
ColorKits are ideal for accurate determination of activity values of enzyme preparations, and may also be used in enzyme purification work to rapidly locate activity in column fractions.
Each kit contains a phosphorylated substrate for a particular class of enzyme, together with a carefully optimised PiColorLock detection reagent, Pi standard, 2x 96-well microplates and a selection of buffer concentrates for optimisation of assay conditions with the enzyme of interest. Currently there are five substrates available, with several more in the pipeline; sample assay protocols are also provided.
Each kit is supplied complete with all the reagents necessary to process one 96-well microplate, along with sufficient material to prepare a standard curve and to do some exploratory work for assay optimisation.
