A range of equipment for laboratories involved with packaging samples for clinical trials and small batch production will be on display
Isopak says it will have an impressive range of equipment on display at the Total Packaging show.
Of great interest to many visitors will be the latest version of the top selling, automatic bench top In-Cap machine with liquid filling.
This compact, easy to use machine is highly versatile and is ideal for use in pharmacies, hospitals and R and D laboratories for clinical trials, small batch and special productions.
The liquid filling station gives fill weights from 0.15 to 1000mg for hot, cold and viscous liquids, and can be linked to the new Bonapace BD 3000 capsule banding machine which will be on show for the first time in the UK.
The BD 3000 is a compact, stand alone automatic machine allowing liquid filled, hard gelatine capsules to be sealed effectively to prevent leaks, and is an ideal complement to the In-Cap.
Vistors will be able to see the versatility of the In-Cap at Total as it will also be exhibited handling double blind capsules with a new individual tablet filling unit.
The fully automated system allows packs for blind trials to be produced and the new low volume hopper means the machine can operate with as little as 50gm of product - a great advantage when the product in use is very expensive or difficult to obtain.
For those looking for an effective automatic tablet press for small batch runs - the CPR-6 is the ideal solution.
The model, also on show for the first time in the UK, is one of the smallest available on the world market and, although compact in design, has an output of up to 2500 tablets per hour and can exercise a compression force of 2.5 tonnes.
It is constructed from high quality stainless steel, is easy to clean and operate and is particularly aimed at laboratories, pharmacies and hospitals.
Making its UK debut is the SBP-4 sachet filler, an economically priced unit ideal for use in small scale production and clinical trials.
High quality sachets can be produced without the need for investment in large scale equipment and it is equally at home whether producing single dose bags of powders, liquids, creams, capsules or tablets.
The unit is equipped with a control panel and the operating functions - including sealing temperature, motor speed, printing and bag length selection - can be controlled with the touch of a button.
With an output of up to 4000 bags per hour depending on the product, it has already proved a popular choice in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The popular Minicap 100 semi automatic capsule filler, capable of an output of 2500 per hour will also be shown.
The Minicap has been extremely popular particularly with those producing herbal and alternative therapy products and the compact unit is the first choice for many wanting a cost effective, well made machine suitable for small runs.
Visitors to the Isopak stand will also be able to see a range of products produced on Rotomac machines - for which Isopak is a leading UK distributor - including aluminium containers, aluminium and film rolls for domestic and catering use.
Isopak managing director Robin Davies says: "Dott Bonapace has always offered Italian engineering at its best and its products always arouse a great deal of interest because of their high quality manufacture, versatility and cost-effectiveness.
"We are sure that those in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors will be impressed by the range on display at Total." Isopak is on stand 5680 at Total Packaging, at the NEC from 29 March to 1 April 2004.
