For applications using TE or TM polarised light, diffraction efficiency has now been maximised for the specific polarisation and can reach more than 80% in grazing configuration in the L and C band
Jobin Yvon has updated its range of holographic and ruled diffraction gratings dedicated to telecom applications which include WDM multiplexers/demultiplexers, optical spectrum analysers, and tuneable lasers.
The gratings can be used in Littrow or grazing configuration.
For applications using TE or TM polarised light, diffraction efficiency has now been maximised for the specific polarisation and can reach more than 80% in grazing configuration in the L and C band.
In addition the gratings have a very low stray light level, a superior wavefront flatness and a Polarisation Dependent Loss (PDL) optimised for specific applications.
To meet the telecom standard environmental specifications, Jobin Yvon developed different solutions and a special durable gold coating which offers a very stable optical component.
The company says its manufacturing process also gives the ability to provide constantly performing gratings batch after batch.
