The option to run this system overnight or through the weekend makes it an attractive alternative to standard 50- and 100-litre evaporators
John Morris Scientific introduces Heidolph's 20-litre large scale rotary evaporator designed for unattended use.
The required solvent is automatically re-filled and the condensate drained off.
The self-filling water bath and electronic system enable the process to take place over an unlimited time.
The option to run this system overnight or through the weekend makes it an attractive alternative to standard 50- and 100-litre evaporators. This model features a 20-litre large scale evaporator with the following standard options: four-head vacuum pump, chemical-proof, rated at 4m3/h, final pressure 9mbar, 350W dissipated power.
The pump also drains condensate.
Combined secondary condenser with separator.
Solenoid valve for reflux operation.
Aperture for scavenging air metering.
Non-return valve separates scavenging air from evacuated system.
Drive head features built-in weight sensor.
Weight sensor to trigger the control module.
Solenoid valve receives signals from control module to initiate solvent metering.
Metering intervals are set on the control module.
Sensor discontinues solvent metering if solvent tanks fall dry.
Distillation is discontinued when a pre-programmed final pressure level is reached or a certain period of time has elapsed.
The patented vacuum pump used to drain condensate is able to establish a certain pressure level in the evacuated system which equals the boiling point of the solvent mix used.
As a function of component mix, pressure decreases during distillation.
A patented arrangement guarantees proper pressure at all times.
For your security the application is stopped automatically at a variable pre-selected minimum pressure.
