Solenoid valve design prevents media from coming into contact with any internal metallic components, preventing both valve corrosion and media contamination
KV has developed an extensive range of dry operator/media separated solenoid valves for use within medical industry.
The valve design prevents the media from coming into contact with any internal metallic components - thus preventing valve corrosion and contamination of the media - which is imperative in analysis and monitoring applications.
The range consists of two-port and three-port versions with normally open, normally closed, and universal functions to allow mixing or diverting control.
A variety of orifice sizes from 1.0mm to 11mm diameter are available in addition to high pressure versions capable of handling up to 8bar pressure.
Body material options include PVDF, Peek, Kel-F, polypropylene and Delrin.
Seal material options include Buna, Viton, EPDM, Kalrez and silicone.
Body-ported units range from M5 and 10/32 NPT up to G3/8 as well as sub base mounted types for manifolding.
A full range of voltages are available from 6VDC up to 230VAC.
Power consumption of 1W is typical.
As well as providing the control of contaminated and corrosive media, the dry operator principle will also ensure that dead volumes (unused space) within the valve body is minimised. This is particularly important in the prevention of cross contamination of media and simplifies valve cleaning
