Enzymatic disinfection solution for the pre-cleaning of endoscopes and surgical instruments and use in automated endoscope re-processors
Labcaire is launching an enzymatic disinfection solution for the pre-cleaning of endoscopes and surgical instruments and use in automated endoscope re-processors.
Autozyme has been specially developed to meet the strict protocols of the company's Autoscope range of washer disinfectors but is also suitable for manual washing procedures.
The non-foaming detergent solution is supplied in 1-litre bottles, sufficient for approximately 20 wash cycles.
The container is designed to install directly into Labcaire's Autoscope 2 and Autoscope Guardian models. Alternatively, it can be poured into the detergent container of older washer disinfectors or be fitted with a hand dispenser to allow Autozyme to be used in a sink or bath for manual processing of instruments.
Autozyme cleans optimally when the water temperature remains below 32C and has a visual indicator system built in to alert operators when this temperature has been exceeded.
Above 32C the solution turns milky, returning to a clear solution when cold water is added.
The latest Autoscope Guardian machines have been set to deliver the correct dosage of Autozyme.
Earlier Autoscope 2 machines will be modified free of charge upon request.
Autozyme may be used in non-Labcaire washer disinfectors provided the optimal cleaning temperature of 32C is not exceeded.
When used in this way, its superior enzymatic action improves performance.
