Speakers from leading companies in the drug discovery arena made presentations at Maybridge's recent second annual Scientific Workshop, 'Outsourcing Lead Discovery'
The workshop, entitled Outsourcing Lead Discovery, was held in Bregenz, Austria on 24/25 October 2002.
It provided a forum for the discussion of ideas, strategies and technologies in the research outsourcing marketplace and was attended by 30 delegates from Central European countries.
Maybridge welcomed nine speakers representing companies including Xantos, Schering, Graffinity, 4SC, Sympore, Morphochem, Lynx Therapeutics, Solutia, and Solvas. Discussions focused on balancing in-house and outsourced chemistry, the decision-making process of selecting a chemistry partner, and the continuing improvements in automation.
Christof Böhler and Frank Kerrigan from Maybridge reported on some current outsourcing projects and provided insight into future capabilities.
The excellent and positive discussions are reflective of Maybridge's increased growth in central Europe in recent years.
The direct sales strategy in central Europe, managed by Christof Böhler, has brought Maybridge recognition as a major provider of products and contract research services to the drug discovery industry.
