The determination of alkalinity and water hardness by means of an automated system consisting of a robotic sample processor in combination with a titrator
MATi 11 is a Titrino-based system performing fully automated water analyses.
It comprises the 789 robotic sample processor XL combined with the 799 GPT Titrino and all accessories and sensors necessary to perform conductivity and pH measurement, p+m value determination and finally the water hardness titration.
It is equipped with the quick aliquoting device 6.9958.007, which transfers 100 ml sample to an external titration vessel for the fully automated analysis.
Up to 59 water samples can be analysed in one series.
The water analysis involves the determination of alkalinity and water hardness by means of an automated system consisting of a 789 robotic sample processor XL in combination with a 799 GPT Titrino.
The Aquatrode Plus is used as the indicator electrode for the alkalinity determination; the water hardness titration is indicated by a Ca ISE combined with the reference system of the Aquatrode Plus.
The conductivity measurement is carried out with the 712 Conductometer and a conductivity cell that is used instead of the titration equipment.
The standard rack used accommodates 59 beakers with a volume of 120ml.
The samples are stirred by a propeller stirrer. The new quick aliquoting device 6.9958.007, an overflow buret, transfers the sample to the external titration vessel using the built-in pumps of the 789 robotic sample processor XL.
After the titration the built-in membrane pumps of the 789 guarantee efficient aspiration of the spent solution and thorough rinsing of the titration equipment.
Data collection is realised by the Metrodata Software Vesuv 3.0 that is included in the 799 GPT Titrino's standard accessories.
