As people leave laboratories and replacement staff take over their positions, or existing users need to get more out of their instrumentation then training programmes becomes a major requirement
Pam Wight, utilising her 11 years of experience in electrochemistry, will be offering Metrohm users a series of public and tailored customer courses which will suite all needs. General training courses (public), covering all aspects of a technique, duration one day.
Typical programme for a titration course: basic theory of titration, types of titration, calculation of results, electrode theory, electrode maintenance and choice of electrode system, correct choice of titration parameters, method development, and trouble shooting.
Standalone courses: these are for the current range of Metrohm instrumentation and aimed at individuals or small groups of analysts/ technicians - duration 1/2 day.
Typical program for these type of courses: how to use the instrument(s), programming methods and calculation of results, interpretation the results, practical hints and troubleshooting.
Software courses - duration 1/2 day.
These are similar to the stand alone courses but will be specifically focused on software and automation.
Typical programme: method writing, database set up, database management, system set up, software security, password protection.
Tailored courses to exact requirements.
Typical duration 1 to 2 days. These are formal training courses, which are tailored to your exact requirements and can cover a range of topics to suit your specific needs eg pH theory and correct use of electrodes, non-aqueous titration~theory and practice, Karl Fischer - theory and practice, ion chromatography - theory and practice, voltammetry - theory and practice.
