Mettler Toledo has launched a new combined density meter/refractometer.
The DR45 is a compact, powerful and unique two in one system for the simultaneous determination of density and refractive index.
It is designed to work with the SC24 sample changer for the automatic measurement of the density and refractive index of up to 24 samples.
The system features a complete sampling sequence which prevents the major sources of error including air bubbles, remaining sample or rinsing solvents in the measuring cells.
Each meter has a built in Peltier thermostat guaranteeing the correct sample temperature for highly accurate results and two operator levels preventing unauthorised modifications of measuring methods and instrument settings.
Three built-in interfaces ensure GLP compliance and the bar code reader allows the input of user name and sample ID instantly.
The measuring results can be printed out and transferred to a computer and with a bar code reader the input of the user name and the sample ID takes a matter of seconds.
