Suspension arm systems for stereo microscopes lets the instrument be moved easily in X, Y and Z directions and positioned at any height by just the tip of a finger
The new STX stands from Olympus are the ideal partner for stereo microscopy applications looking at large samples, multi user work benches and production line observations.
A broad choice of STX suspension arm systems for the SZ2 stereo microscope systems lets the microscope be easily moved in X, Y and Z directions.
With a precisely adjustable, gas spring counterweight suspension arm the microscope can be positioned at any height by just the tip of a finger.
Standard STX suspension arms are available in 360mm and 560mm length and can balance a weight of up to 6kg.
Special heavy load arms are available to support weights up to 10kg - which could incorporate complex microscope configurations with cameras and special light sources.
The STX-300 horizontal arm can reach any point within a diameter of up to 1600mm.
This simplifies the inspection of large samples.
With this long reach multi-user workbenches for up to four people using one microscope can also be set up.
All STX suspension arms are equipped with a special table clamp as standard.
Altogether there are four different mounting possibilites including wall mounting and a desk top base.
Suspension arms in special lengths and other weight classes can be developed for customers with particular requirements, as well as tailored mounting systems like roof mountings.
