System combines purification technologies to produce pyrogen- and RNase-free ultrapure water, low in organics, suitable for molecular biological applications, such as PCR and 2D electrophoresis
The Milli-Q Synthesis ultrapure water system combines purification technologies to produce pyrogen- and RNase-free ultrapure water, low in organics, suitable for molecular biological applications, such as PCR and 2D electrophoresis. Q-Gard pretreatment packs, tailored to the feedwater source, and Quantum application-specific polishing cartridges reduce ionic and organic contaminants down to trace levels.
Built-in ultraviolet photo-oxidation technology (UV at 185nm) is included in the system for the destruction of organics (to <5ppb). Additionally the validated Pyrogard 5000 ultrafiltration cartridge removes pyrogens (to <0.001EU/mL).
At the point-of-use a Millipak 0.22um absolute filter provides final purification.
Incorporating a built-in, high-precision resistivity meter and an in-line total organic carbon (TOC) monitor, the Milli-Q Synthesis system allows complete monitoring of water quality.
A backlit display shows the resistivity (compensated to 25C or non-compensated) and total organic carbon (TOC) levels as well as all systems functions.
The point-of-use (POU) dispenser allows fixed-volume water delivery and a green LED indicator ensures that the product water is within specifications during delivery.
An optional remote POU dispenser and remote display are also available for optimising space requirements.
Water quality data as well as operation and maintenance information are automatically recorded in the system memory for better compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Optional Explore Data software allows direct data download of this information to a computer through an RS232 interface, which can then be viewed as either graphs or tables.
The Milli-Q Biocel is a compact system, which can be placed on the bench-top, underbench or wall-mounted, designed for maximum comfort and convenience for molecular biology applications in the laboratory.
