Manufacturer of the Clifton range of temperature control equipment, will be previewing several exciting new products at Achema 2003, which ill be held in Frankfurt 19-24 May
Visitors to Achema 2003 will be the first to see the new products, which include both completely new equipment and several welcome additions to popular ranges.
Among the brand new products on show are the Chillo baths - which were developed as a direct result of popular demand from customers.
The Chillo baths are a series of two chiller circulators with an 8 or 22 litre capacity. The operating range is between -20C and 130C at ambient of 20C. The baths consist of a tank fitted above a powerful cooling system, and the circulator range allows temperature controlled liquids to be used in a range of analytical equipment and for the direct immersion of samples.
Also brand new to the Nickel-Electro range are two new cooling and heating products - the BH-1PO2 and the BH-1PO5, which have the capability of working from -5 to +99C.
They will be used for the heating and cooling of microtube strips and individual tubes, with time and temperature control over a single program step.
The BH-1PO2 accepts 0.2ml microtubes and the BH-1PO5 accepts 0.5ml tubes.
Other newcomers are the two new circulators with integral pumps.
The NE4-P (pump) and NE4-HT (high temperature) ranges have been developed to allow external circulation around a closed circuit.
Both also have a push, fit and lock tube system which prevents the tube from becoming dislodged - an important safety feature.
Both models also have a low-level float to detect water drop.
This ensures that the heaters are disabled but the powerful stirring action continues. The NE4-HT range has an extended temperature range so it can operate to +130C.
With cooling, the total operation range is -20C>130C up to and including the 22 litre tank size. Additions to existing ranges enjoying their first preview at Achema include analogue and digital block heaters.
The analogue block heater is ideal for simple tasks, with a temperature range ambient +5C up to 120C.
The heater accepts interchangeable blocks for a wide variety of tubes.
Temperature is selected by rotary dial.
The digital block heater has the capability of holding user selected time and temperature settings in its memory.
The temperature is set via a simple control panel, and the wide variety of interchangeable blocks are designed to suit numerous tasks.
Two new tube rotator variable speed mixers with accessory heads will be previewed.
The two models in the range offer fixed or variable speed.
They have a wide variety of optional heads for microtube, falcon tubes and flask mixing.
The angle of mixing is fully adjustable from horizontal to vertical position.
To save bench space, the unit has been designed so that it can easily be wall mounted.
Melvin Dickson, managing director of Nickel-Electro says: "We operate a continuous programme of research and development to improve our range.
These new products are the result of many years hard work and careful planning, and I hope that prospective users will find them as exciting as we do."
