Three new advanced centrifuges suitable for laboratory analytical techniques include units for microtubes and PCR, clinical applications, and larger volume work
Nickel-Electro is extending the Clifton range of temperature control equipment with the introduction of three new centrifuges - the NE000, NE020, and NE030.
These are all more advanced models which are suitable for laboratory analytical techniques.
The NE000 series is a compact personal micro centrifuge designed for micro tubes or PCR strips, and perfect for quick and simple spin downs.
An angle head rotor is supplied as standard which accepts up to six 0.5ml and/or 1.5ml micro tubes.
With a maximum speed of 8000rpm, the NE000 operates both smoothly and quietly.
Ideal for clinical applications, the NE020 series has a variable rotor speed and electronic timer operation between 0-30 minutes.
The selected speed - maximum 3500rpm - is constantly monitored and maintained.
The NE020 is supplied with a fixed angle head rotor for use with up to six 15ml test tubes.
With safety features like an automatic rotor balance alarm and rotor recognition (limiting the maximum permissible speed) the NE030 series is a highly specified centrifuge suitable for daily use.
The unit has an easy to read digital display, both brake and acceleration control and an active cooling system to reduce thermal shock.
The NE030 is operated by a 6-60 minute timer and has a speed range of 500-13,000rpm, with the added bonus of an audible alarm at the end of the timed period.
The NE030 series is available with a variety of accessories.
These include a selection of rotors available to accommodate tubes up to 120mm x 16mm dia, and 75mm x 12mm dia tubes.
In addition the high speed rotor - up to 13,000 rpm - accepts 24 x 0.25ml tubes and 24 x 1.5ml tubes simultaneously.
The Haematocrit rotor accepts 24 x 1.2mm tubes, supplied with reader.
All centrifuges will be exclusively previewed at Pittcon 2004, Chicago, 8-11 March 2004.
