Latest range of microscopes and metrology systems will be on show at this year's Team exhibitionat the NEC, Birmingham 12-14 November
n addition to its range of industrial microscopes, including the ergonomically designed SMZ series; the automated MM40 and MM60 measuring microscopes, award winning digital imaging systems and image capture software, Nikon will be showing its Nexiv VMR3020 video measuring system at this year's Team Exhibition at the NEC Birmingham, 12-14 November 2002.
The Nexiv is ideally suited to high precision applications such as microelectronics, optoelectronics, plastic injection moulding - including medical device technology and precision engineering.
The unit features a progressive scan camera which allows automated stage movement and simultaneous image processing resulting in a substantial reduction in measuring time.
This unique design also prevents the system from being affected by vibration during the image capture cycle.
Advanced control technology and parallel data processing dramatically increases sampling speed, image processing and data transmission.
Recent installations in the UK have added considerably to the claim that Nikon's Nexiv is the most accurate video measuring system (VMS) in the world and most particularly suited to difficult and complex samples as well as a variety of unusual materials, which would cause significant problems for most other video measuring systems.
Whether the application is for precision engineering measuring down to 0.1æm as featured at the installation at Delphi Diesel Systems, Sudbury; complex plastic moulding for medical devices, where repeatability is the key to its unrivalled success as shown in the recent application at Owen Mumford, or sophisticated multi-axis measurement and checking of printed circuit boards, the Nexiv has proven to be more than a match for every complex metrology task that has been demanded of it, with many users reporting that the system both meets and often exceeds their requirements.
