The new 2003 Oxoid International product list, containing details of the entire Oxoid range of high quality growth, isolation and identification products, is now available to food, brewing and water laboratories via the Oxoid website (link above).
It can be immediately downloaded as a pdf file or an online request can be made for a printed copy to be sent in the post.
Here are just a selection of the new products and features included in the 2003 list: Membrane Lactose Glucuronide Agar (MLGA) - a selective chromogenic medium for differentiation of E coli and other coliforms.
Dryspot E coli Seroscreen and Serocheck - a range of latex agglutination tests for the identification of E coli Serogroups O26, O91, O103, O111, O128 and O145.
These serogroups are often verocytotoxin producers.
The Bax system - this automated system allows food laboratories to quickly and accurately detect bacteria in raw ingredients, finished products and environmental samples.
The RiboPrinter characterisation system - offers fast, accurate and reliable characterisation and identification of bacteria.
Obis Mono - a rapid colorimetric test for the differentiation of Listeria monocytogenes from other Listeria species.
