The Oxoid Technician of the Year will receive £1000 sterling plus a trip to the 2004 IAFP meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive £500 each.
As Mark Hayes, first prize winner of Oxoid Technician of the Year 2002/2003 arrives back in the UK from his trip to the International Association of Food Protection (IAFP) meeting and exhibition in New Orleans, Oxoid announces that the 2003/2004 Oxoid Food Awards are now open for entry - this year with more prizes.
The Oxoid Technician of the Year will receive £1000 sterling plus a trip to the 2004 IAFP meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, 2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive £500 each. Winners of the Oxoid Contract Laboratory of the Year and Oxoid In-House Laboratory of the Year will each receive £500 for a team-building celebration or event, with runners up receiving certificates of merit.
A new award has been introduced this year - the Oxoid Award for Laboratory Education and Training - where the first prize is £500.
All award winners will also receive commemorative trophies or framed certificates to mark the occasion.
The closing date for entries is 28 February 2004. Winners will be notified of their wins in April and will receive their prizes at a celebratory dinner to be held at the Ardencote Manor Hotel in Warwickshire in June 2004.
The Awards are easy to enter - there are no entry forms to complete.
