Selection of diagnostic products feature in new US crime drama series Navy NCIS, just launched in the USA
It's not often that diagnostic companies are asked for products to dress the sets of TV series, but a selection of Oxoid products and the Oxoid Manual feature prominently in the laboratory scenes of Navy NCIS - a new crime investigation series just launched in the USA by CBS.
The new drama follows a team of special agents whose job is investigate any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to US Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position.
The show stars Mark Harmon in the lead role of special agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs accompanied by forensics specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and medical examiner Donald 'Ducky' Mallard who is played by ex Man from Uncle star David McCallum.
From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.
