If you haven't yet sent in your entry for the Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards there is still time
If you haven't yet sent in your entry for the Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards there is still time. First prize is £5000, second prize £1000 and third prize £500 and the closing date is 31 December 2003 - but Oxoid says entrants should not leave it until the last minute and risk being caught up in the Christmas post.
The awards are simple to enter - there are no forms to complete.
Just send a two-page summary describing the infection control challenges in your hospital.
Advise how team members work together to respond to these challenges, describe the outcome of their work, including any new testing, reporting or auditing practices and procedures adopted, and describe why this has improved things for patients and the hospitals with which you work.
The Oxoid Infection Control Team of the Year Awards are supported by the Hospital Infection Society, the Infection Control Nurses Association and the International Federation of Infection Control, and their representatives form part of the judging panel of key infection control experts.
Make sure you send your entries in without delay and your team could win this valuable award and gain the recognition you deserve.
