Visitors to the Parenteral Drug Association congress in Basle will be able to obtain details of the wide range of Oxoid products for use in the pharmaceutical laboratory
Visitors to the PDA (Parenteral Drug Association) international congress in Basle (February 2004) will be able to obtain details of the wide range of Oxoid products for use in the pharmaceutical laboratory.
Oxoid's comprehensive range of dehydrated and ready prepared culture media includes gamma irradiated tryptone soya broth (for use in media fill trials), Pseudomonas agar (EP/USP) and buffered sodium chloride peptone solution (EP). Information on Veggietones soya peptone, part of Oxoid's Veggietones range of USP-compliant meat-free culture media products (that are free from BSE, TSEs and GMOs), will also be available.
Veggietones have been specifically designed to protect pharmaceutical plant, products and, ultimately, patients and consumers from such undesirable contaminants.
As European distributors of the DuPont Qualicon RiboPrinter, Oxoid will also be providing information on this microbial characterisation system, which provides an automated genetic fingerprint (RiboPrint pattern) of any bacterium in less than eight hours. RiboPrint patterns allow characterisation of spoilage organisms, pathogens, beneficial organisms or any bacterium important to pharmaceutical laboratories.
And finally, details of the Quanticult range of quality control organisms will also be available.
