In safety-critical environments where glass is banned, precision water analysis can now be carried out using high-quality plastic sample tubes from Palintest.
The new, long life tubes are made of a sturdy, high-density plastic which resists scratching and provides an accurate result when used in a Palintest photometer. The use of glass is now prohibited in many environments, such as food factories and poolside in swimming pools.
However, until now only glass tubes enabled an accurate photometer measurement of the colour produced when a reagent is added to a sample of water. In such environments, plastic tubes have to be used, but were previously suitable only for comparator testing when visual colour standards are used to assess the colour formed in the test sample.
These new, high quality tubes now make using plastic in photometers a possibility, providing much more accurate results. The durable, re-useable tubes are now included as standard with all Palintest photometers for swimming pool use.
They can be requested as standard with any Palintest photometer, and are also available for order separately.
