The Audiosonic Acoustic Cleaner range designed and manufactured by Primasonics International is an innovative, non-intrusive, affordable technology in preventing material blockages within silos and hoppers and maintaining material flow.
The stainless steel range of Acoustic Cleaners have been successfully employed within silos and hoppers in a wide range of industries, thus eliminating the need for either hazardous manual entry or employment of other damaging, non-effective external methods.
In silos, typically there are two main material blockage problems. "Ratholing" is where material continually builds up on the walls resulting in a much restricted material flow down the centre of the silo.
An Acoustic Cleaner mounted on top of the silo will prevent this material build up and ensure smooth main flow of material.
"Bridging" occurs with material when a void forms at the silo discharge point with material bridging above.
The shear weight of material above further compacts this "bridge" and material flow ceases or is at best very intermittent.
A small Audiosonic Acoustic cleaner located at the silo discharge will prevent bridging and ensure continual maximum material flow.
The Acoustic Cleaners are operated by compressed air, which activates a special titanium diaphragm housed within the wave generator, producing base sound waves.
The particular bell section amplifies and transmits the sound waves to produce the desired fundamental frequency of between 50 Hz and 350 Hz.
A periodic few seconds "sounding" is all that is required.
