Peakdale Molecular and Cyprotex have announced their collaboration in the application of Adme technology to maximise the drug-like properties of Peakdale's screening compounds
Peakdale has used its innovative chemistry expertise to develop and synthesise up to 8500 novel, lead-like molecules that complement the chemical space of other compound collections.
In the agreement, Cyprotex will use its Cloe Screen high throughput screening technology to evaluate the absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (Adme) properties of these compounds. The companies will use the Adme data to develop predictive models that will be used to enhance the design of further novel compounds yet to be synthesised.
The collaboration has been driven by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies needs for improved productivity within their drug discovery activities.
By providing compounds with enhanced Adme profiles, Peakdale says it can offer its clients superior starting points from which to discover potential new drugs, as well as making significant time-savings in subsequent optimisation.
