Important productivity-enhancing capabilities with real-time reference curve and calculations features on updated package used in materials and pharmaceutical labs
PerkinElmer has announced a new version of its Pyris thermal analysis software used in materials and pharmaceutical labs. Pyris 7.0 adds important productivity-enhancing capabilities with its real-time reference curve and calculations features.
With these new features, a user can compare a current measurement against a reference curve during data collection and have the software execute real-time calculations during sample runs, enabling quicker decisions.
MultiCurve, another new enhancement, allows users to save a view of several different data files in one single file for quick and easy reference.
This can include similar instrument files or an overlay of multiple thermal analysis instrument curves (such as DSC, TGA, TG/DTA or TMA). Results can be saved and recalled at any time for review.
Users can also generate reports and print while running multiple measurements.
These new features, coupled with the software's extensive list of standard features, make Pyris the most robust platform for high-sensitivity thermal analysis. "Pyris 7.0 software adds significant new capabilities requested by our customers and extends these capabilities to many more labs using a full range of PerkinElmer thermal instruments", said Michael DiVito, business unit manager for thermal analysis at PerkinElmer.
"Customers in the polymers, pharmaceuticals, and other materials industries can now benefit from having just one, powerful software platform for analysis, reporting and decision making as Pyris 7.0 now supports several additional instruments including the Diamond TMA and Sapphire DSC".
A broad range of optional software packages further enhance analytical capabilities and support specific needs of users.
To meet increasingly important data security requirements in pharmaceutical and other industries, Pyris is available with 21 CFR Part 11-compliant tools such as user-level management, file protection, audit trails, electronic signature, and more. Other optional software packages enable users to determine specific heat, purity, crystallinity, and kinetic behaviors under various conditions.
Even with all of the new capabilities added to the standard features of Pyris 7.0, the software remains easy-to-use and flexible enough to be tailored to specific laboratory needs, says PerkinElmer.
