New generation thermal spray technology provides superior release properties against adhesives, glues, tapes and other sticky substances
Poeton Industries is throwing down the gauntlet to any machinery manufacturer or operator with a 'sticky substance' problem, to test their material against its latest Apticote Plasmadize 850 coating.
Explains Poeton managing director Colin John: "We are so convinced that coating the contact surfaces of tooling, moulds or machine rollers with Apticote 850 will solve 'sticky substance' problems, that we are offering to coat sample parts free of charge and test them against problem materials." Apticote Plasmadize 850 is a new generation thermal spray technology that uses an infused matrix of metals, ceramics, proprietary polymers and/or dry lubricants to create tough, flexible coatings with excellent wear, non-stick and release properties.
It provides superior release properties against adhesives, glues, tapes and other sticky substances when applied to metallic and non-metallic tooling.
Colin John says the challenge should be irresistible to companies involved in adhesive formulation and tape manufacture, printing and packaging, and food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical production. "This advanced coating is custom designed to act as a release system for all types of metal parts, where it can eliminate downtime and cleaning delays and help meet critical production schedules." Coatings are FDA compliant and USDA approved, making them ideal for food and pharmaceutical production machinery, where they can be customised for the different types of sticky residue that can come into contact with the surface of moulds and rollers.
