Photonic Products reports being delighted to have won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise 2003 in the international trade category
Over three years, Photonic Products's overseas earnings have increased by 352%, representing some 60% of a total turnover of £1.6m.
Trading worldwide, the company's core markets are the USA and countries of the EU.
It opened its own office in California in August 2002 in order to support growing numbers of US customers.
Further good news for the firm is that it became an ISO 9001:2000 accredited company, an internationally recognised standard of quality, reliability and consistency.

Photonic Products, founded in 1995, specialises in both the distribution of laser diodes and the custom design and manufacture of optoelectronic components based on semiconductor laser diode technology.
Its products are used in a variety of high technology applications, including biomedical instrumentation, DNA sequencing, spectroscopy, microscopy, genomics, industrial inspection, free space optical communications, and reprographics.
