Many microscopes used in cytological screening are categorised by poor ergonomics, but adding a new system to your microscope may help to overcome many of these problems
ErgoScan reduces the physical strain of repetitive manual screening by motorising the most frequently used microscope controls: stage movement and focus.
ErgoScan provides an economic way of adding these features to virtually any instrument, with the benefit of reduced operator fatigue, resulting in improvements in accuracy and productivity.
Control of the stage is achieved by a proportional joystick, giving a full range of travel over an area 76x56mm, and a continuously variable lateral speed from 1µm/sec to 9mm/sec.
Empty spaces on the slide can be quickly traversed, with no tiring manipulation of focussing controls, but any details of interest are still positioned easily and accurately.
An ergonomic flat roller control gives smooth and precise focussing.
Stage and focus controls are available separately if required, and the system is quickly and easily installed on new instruments and most older microscopes as an upgrade.
