Utilising a unique motorised scanning stage and motorised focusing mechanism, the system finally eliminates the need to stretch and twist microscope controls which often leads to fatigue and discomfort. The scanning stage is controlled with an ergonomic, low resistance joystick that provides control of direction and speed, while focusing is controlled with a flat hand roller.
Both offer very fine control and virtually no resistance unlike a standard microscope.
The obvious benefit of the system is reduced operator fatigue and therefore increased productivity.
ErgoScan has actually been responsible for keeping cytology screeners in work.
