Scanning stage for upright microscopes is compatible with all specimen holders from the ProScan range, allowing examination of the widest range of specimens
Prior Scientific Instruments announces the launch of its latest scanning stage for upright microscopes, the ES111 OptiScan.
This stage has evolved from Prior's ES110 range of scanning stages.
Maximum flexibility was a primary goal, and this has been achieved by adopting a three-plate design for the ES111.
This makes the ES111 compatible with all of the specimen holders from the Prior ProScan range of scanning stages, allowing examination of the widest range of specimens for a stage in this class. Sample types include single and multiple glass slides (up to four 3"x1" slides simultaneously), multi-well plates, Petri dishes and metallurgical samples.
To complement the increased flexibility, the travel range of the stage has also been increased to 125x75mm allowing all specimen types to be viewed in full.
Finally, the mounting system has been simplified to ensure that the stage is as future-proof as it can be.
Switching the stage to a different microscope is now a cheap and simple operation in most cases.
The OptiScan range is intended as an affordable alternative to the high-end ProScan system and is ideally suited to routine micropositioning applications.
