Mcerts certification was awarded after field tests carried out at an actual incinerator installation and an audit of the manufacturing and service processes
Quantitech reports that Sira Accreditation Service has awarded Mcerts certification to the Gasmet CX-4000 and DX-4000 multi-component FTIR gas analysers for Cems applications. Introduced by the Environment Agency to improve monitoring quality, Mcerts sets exacting instrument performance specifications derived from the relevant ISO and CEN standards, including such vital aspects as linearity, repeatability, detection limit, reproducibility and accuracy compared with a Standard Reference Method.
The analytes covered by the new certification are H2O, CO, NO, SO2, NH3 and HCl, but the high-performance interferometer and sophisticated Calcmet software used in the Gasmet systems allow the simultaneous quantification of up to 50 different components.
These systems can also detect and identify unknown or unexpected components. Mcerts certification was awarded after field tests carried out at an actual incinerator installation and an audit of the manufacturing and service processes at Temet Instruments, manufacturers of the Gasmet range.
The CX-4000 is a rack-mounted, remotely controlled unit ideal for permanent Cems installations. The DX-4000 is a self-contained instrument weighing only 16kg, and offers the possibility of flexible, portable monitoring as well as Cems applications.
The DX-4000 is available for rental via Quantitech's Enviro-Rental service.
