Quantitech reports that Mcerts certification has been awarded to Bernath's model 3006 and the EuroFID analyser for total organic carbon emission measurements
Both instruments use the industry-standard flame ionisation detection principle, giving high sensitivity and a very wide dynamic range from sub-ppm to percent levels.
The 3006 is completely self-contained, with its own combustion gas (hydrogen or hydrogen/helium) and air supplies, and is the ideal transportable instrument, although it is also suitable for semi- continuous monitoring since one fill of the integral hydrogen cylinder is capable of providing approximately 170 hours of continuous operation.
The 3006 is currently the only portable FID to be awarded Mcerts.
The EuroFID is designed for permanent installation for continuous Incinerator monitoring applications and can be operated manually, fully automatically or by remote control.
Both instruments can be used to measure cold, hot, corrosive or condensable gases (including steam), so will handle most TOC monitoring applications.
Certification range for both instruments is from 0 to 15mg/m3, and is valid for waste incineration and large coal-fired combustion plant.
The 3006 approval additionally covers the emission control of chlorinated solvents like trichloroethylene, used in dry cleaning.
The Bernath 3006 can also be rented via Quantitech's Enviro-rental service, to meet short-term monitoring requirements or 'try before you buy'.
