Transducer solutions specialist RDP Electronics will be showing the latest developments in its plug-and-play sensor technology at MTEC 2004.
The plug and play range of sensors has been created with an embedded memory chip holding technical data which describes the sensor's specific characteristics.
The information is stored in what is known as a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (Teds).
The Teds file holds details of the sensor type, set-up, and operational characteristics which can be read by, and acted upon by, any compatible software such as National Instruments's Labview, thus creating a fast, simple, efficient and accurate means for calibration, configuration and diagnostics.
RDP's technical sales staff will be on hand to answer any questions about the new plug and play technology, or to discuss any specific transducer applications on stand D102 at MTEC, Hall 11, NEC Birmingham on 11-12 February 2004.
