"This merger gives midwest clients the depth of technical expertise and facility capabilities heretofore missing from our local market"
RTI Laboratories, a provider of analytical and materials testing services, has bought AAC Trinity Laboratories of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
The newly acquired business will be integrated into RTI's existing state-of-the-art facility in Livonia, Michigan, which was recently renovated and remodeled.
This transaction makes it possible to provide expanded technical service and geographic coverage to the combined customer base of RTI and Trinity.
"We're truly excited about this acquisition," says Jerry Singh, president of RTI Laboratories.
"The consolidation of two quality laboratories places us in a strong technical, market and cost position to serve our clients in the midwestern USA and supports our long term strategy of being a leading provider of analytical laboratory services".
The combined business will operate as RTI Laboratories and will be one of the largest independent testing laboratories in Michigan with a staff of over 30, including chemists, engineers, physicists, biologists and metallurgists with advanced degrees and combined experience of over 300 years.
Jim Shannon, past-president of AAC Trinity and the new director of sales and marketing for RTI, summarises by saying: "this merger gives midwest clients the depth of technical expertise and facility capabilities heretofore missing from our local market.
"We look forward to accepting the challenges associated with being the driving force in the environmental analytical business in our area."
