Invitation to submit scientific posters for Microscience 2004 in six categories, including new scientists only, with wide range of prizes including laptops, digital cameras, and cash
The Royal Microscopical Society has issued a call for scientific posters to be presented at Microscience 2004.
Submissions must be made by Monday 24 May 2004 and full details of the entry guidelines are available on the web.
Life and materials scientists can exhibit posters of their work throughout the three-day conference.
Each day a winning poster will be chosen by a panel of scientists and industry representatives and a prize awarded.
In addition, a special prize will also be awarded daily for the best poster in the new scientist category, reserved for those starting out in microscopy and presenting results for only the first or second time.
The prizes include laptops, digital cameras and cash, for instance, and have been donated by many of the companies exhibiting at Microscience 2004.
There are twelve distinct scientific sessions in the main conference and submitted posters will be shown on the relevant day.
With each of the sessions being led by world-class researchers, many of microscopy's finest researchers are expected to attend. Anyone wishing to submit a poster should send an abstract of no more than 250 words to the conference organisers.
All chosen abstracts will be published in the Microscience conference book.
