Peter Hutchings, formerly of Perkin Elmer and Tecan, has been recruited to head up RTS Life Science's new West Coast office in Southern California.
The company already has a sizeable support office in Phoenix, but the vibrant biotech and pharmaceutical sector in California and surrounding states affords many opportunities.
Commented Peter who is the Business Director for the West Coast: "I shall be concentrating on really establishing the RTS name on the West Coast.
"Initial soundings suggest that products like the Assay Platform and the acCellerator should prove to be strong performers.
"We will also be looking closely at how the existing products can be best tailored to serve this specialized market."
