Traceable calibration service for portable instruments, using a specially modified calibration standard which has itself been calibrated using NPL standard sources
AstraNet Systems offers a traceable calibration service for StellarNet portable spectroradiometers, using a specially modified Bentham Instruments CL6 calibration standard which has been calibrated using NPL standard sources.
The model EPP2000C complete with fibre optic cable and CR1 cosine receptor can be accurately calibrated at several different luminance levels. Users can then select the calibration data file and associated instrument settings to closely match the luminance level of specific lighting conditions when recording irradiance spectra. This results in an improved level of accuracy compared to using a single calibration file for all luminance levels.
The service is offered to all users of StellarNet spectrometers at a price of £300+VAT, AstraNet can normally offer a two-day turn around. StellarNet recommends re-calibration at 12-monthly intervals.
