Sirius Analytical Instruments reinforces its partnership with Pion by offering its latest solubility measurement technology. Pion's modified shake flask method, which was granted a US patent in May 2003, will be available exclusively in instruments distributed by Sirius in Europe.
This innovative method, which has been under research and development since 1997, harnesses the capability and flexibility offered by 96-well UV technology.
It involves determining the solubility of a compound by measuring the UV spectrum of a saturated sample solution.
Pion's Msol product range, currently marketed by Sirius in Europe, incorporates all the principles of the patented technique.
The same protocol is used across the product range, from the manual Msol Explorer system, through the automated Msol Evolution to the very high throughput Msol Discovery.
Customers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries will automatically benefit from the patented technology whatever level of product they decide to choose from the range available.
